Hi All,

My Impreza is now 3 years old and I'm looking at getting a new motor. I'm tempted by the R32 there is lots of talk on here regarding getting cheap deals. Obviously this means that my WRX is worth not much.

What are the running costs of the R32 (mpg, servicing, insurance)?

Hi,

I have a new R32 and have only done 400 miles in it....

I reckon 20-30mpg depending on how you drive most of the time, services are £150 for oil and up to £390 for 40k service.

I pay £400 to insure...but I am old (38) full no claims via esure.

Hope that helps.

Sounds like a good deal on servicing but be aware that if it's on the longlife regime 3ys/30k miles could only be one service.

The major expense comes around at 40K when the plugs (£90), haldex oil (£100) and if it's a DSG, gearbox oil and filter (£150) are changed.

Longlife service costs circa £200, depending on the dealer labour rate. The longlife oil can be quite expensive as well

Servicing costs don't sound too bad. Subaru main dealers quoted me £400+ for the 3 year service. wobble

Service package for £225 is if car is set to time & distance (10k or 12mths). which in real terms mean 2 lube services & an inspection service.
