I have just picked up a great bargain, went to Sainsbury’s earlier to get the shopping and noticed that they had the 120GB hard drive for the Xbox on special offer at £50, normally £129. Fantastic this will replace my 20GB hard drive nicely. I am in the process of transferring the data from the 20GB drive to the 120GB drive at the moment.

If anybody wants them the product code is 6662180

I've been looking for these; they are scanning at 48 quid too, after a VAT reduction! Easily the cheapest anywhere in the UK, except every store anywhere near me is out!

Might have to get one at that price.

Normal supermarkets sell them? Or is it online?

This was from my local store and they had about 5 left. Not sure if it is available online.

How are you copying over the data R360? I've got some Oblivion saved games on my old 20Gb that I'd like, but don't want to use the migration kit as I don't want to lose whats on my new 120Gb drive. Is a memory card the only way to go?

I used the cable supplied to move all my data from the 20GB drive to the 120 GB drive. Before i started it did give me a message to say that all data on the 120 GB drive would be lost and replaced with the content from the 20GB drive. It took about and hour and a half to move about 13GB data from one HD to the other.

Do they have a HDMI port?

If so i'll have to have one to replace my Premium console without HDMI.

No, HDMI is built-in to the later consoles.
If you want HDMI, you'll need a newer console frown

hehe

I was just about to post that i've just been to the Sainsburys at The Wyvern, Derby, and they didn't have any in. BUT, i read the thread this morning as though the actual console was £50! boxedin

I've just asked the woman on the electrical department if they had any £50 consoles left, no wonder she said i must be mistaken. What a muppet! hehe

Yep - Memory card is the only way...
I transfered everything from my 20gb to 120gb last night - I had the rrod on an old console (replaced a couple of times) and bought an elite thinking that the chances of it being repaired were slim as i had bought the original 360 a long time ago....
Imagine my surprise when MS sent me a newly repaired xbox on Friday last week. Mother board fried apparently...
Anyone want to buy??

No, because then I would be no better than a ticket tout: just a parasite.

Strange logic that... Im pretty sure sainsburys buy things cheaper than the sell them to you, and they're not ticket touts...

All the bloody Saino's near me are out of stock, and don't know when they'll be getting more in. I was gonna get a couple and sell the other one to recoup a bit of cash.

Shame they don't have any in.

Does anyone know when this offer is likely to expire?
