TVR History Top Gear
Discussion
I dug out the TVR history from TG a couple of years ago. Quite interesting to watch. Bit of irony : PW said that TVR will continue to do well unless he does something stupid. I am not sure he has done something stupid - my ajp v8 is fantastic. Albeit I dont look forward to the day when I have some serious bills. And that day will come one day. The market is very different as is the TVR range. Not trying to start a S6 debate! Just wonder how they will fair over coming years. If Fernies stock turnover is anything to go by then I guess they will do very well!!!
In general the independant market is boyant - even in these supposedly dangerous days.... There must be a market for competitively priced high-performance cars to the decerning public.
I know there has been a bit of musical chairs in the authorised dealer chain, but in general things seem pretty good all round. I was reading the other day that TVR expect to sell the same number of cars this year as last - 1200.... This was in the Sunday Times bit - and that they had a tough last quarter, but the most sucessful Dec or Jan (cant remember which) ever.... That will be the Tamora then....
At least things look OK for the short to medium term for TVR. Would be interesting to know whats in the bag for next time...
Cheers,
Paul
