How many UK Armed Forces drive tvrs?

I am currently saving for a tvr after a short setback of buying a house but I was wondering how many military people there are on this site, as tvr seems a popular choice amongst military personnel.

yep, for my sins....

I'm RAF and run a Chimaera 400....I don't know of any other people that run a TVR (especially as I'm only pond-life as well)
I manage to run it and another car (and three kids+ 2 cats!) without being constantly in debt.....but I don't have a mortgage

I'm Germany based Army and drive a Griff 500.

On the subject of servicing, mine gets looked after by TVR Sports Cars near Dortmund. The team there are extremely helpful and very reasonably priced: I'd recommend them to anyone in the forces based in Germany!

I was in the Falklands a few years ago when a nuclear sub turned up...they all looked a bit pasty and ill so we invited them to our bar...the poor buggers went absolutely mad....we found out that they had been under the water for something like 3 months....poor sods

Sounds right Nick 3 month patrols were very common i was on "Bombers" (missile boats) 200feet and 2/4knots for months on end in a patrol zone

There's even a company specialising in providing TVRs to military personel. "TVR MADS" (Military and Diplomatic Sales). Ask for James - he's a top bloke, sorted me out with a Cerbera 4.5 LW.

Do they do special deals for military personnel who are based in the uk or only for those based overseas?

Price range limits me to chim or griff 500 at the most. Constantly in two minds about both, I think the general consensus is that you can live more with the chim, but I think I prefer the looks of the griff.

Left in 1988 stayed down on the south coast even though i was based at Faslane was in the motor trade since Nice Griff was that photo taken down here?
