Multimedia speakers
Discussion
Nice one... I recently bought some Creative 5.1 speakers with an amp/decoder (5700), very, very loud for computer speakers! Funnily enough I had carkeys hanging out of the front of my computer ('cos my USB memorystick is attached to them), gripping a microsoft steering wheel with pedals, driving an old virtual ford pickup with the V8 blasting out via surround sound... God I am soo sad.
My new PC came with a 200watt 5.1 surround system - the subwoofer itself is bigger than the PC tower and you can feel the air surging under the desk when anything with good bass is played through it
Any game with big guns going off is awsome and the Ferrari on GrandPrix Legends sounds wonderful!

If space is an issue I would recommend:
harman/kardon HK19.5 which I picked up last week from a high street retailer in London for £15 !
I am very impressed to say the least.
O.K. only two speakers (no surrounds /sub) but the audio quality is excellent. Very impressed !
(they are supplied by an Audigy sound card)

The quality of these TEAC's are light years ahead of the yam's excellent stereo seperation and a thumping bass the Pc now has better SQ than my Sony stereo (still no where near the seperates)
