Need advice on buying my first TVR
Discussion
Been there! My first TVR was an S3 and I still miss it...
1) Join the TVRCC and go to your nearest meeting, see the cars, meet the owners etc. We love talking about the beasts and you should have no difficulty blagging a trip as passenger. Each owner will be able to give you a list of what to look for, from their own experiences. Take some paper so you can write it down.
2) If you're serious, get the 'S Handbook' by Steve Heath (about £30). It's got a section on what to look for and if you're mad like us you'll read it from cover to cover!

pies thats an excellent page of info on your site, doing a similiar one for griffiths on mine.
Hi Kieth, an excellent choice of TVR and you cant go far wrong if you have the Bible and getting along to TVRCC meets to see some and at least get to talk to owners.
Posting any Questions in here or the S forum and you will get no end of answers from present and past owners, of which not many will Knock the S.
Theres a PH get together at Virginia Waters this wekend and will probably be a few S's there if you fancy popping down,
See in the events/mettings forum

Thanks Simon it will improve when i get more pics in.When i was looking i could ask questions and get answers but on alot of occasions i had no idea where to look or what something looked like
Checked your site the other day far better than mine, have you thought about ditching the "Enter" button and making the Griff the link.
I say this as i have to scroll down to find it,and it takes a while to load on dial up.the buzz bars
just don't do it at work
Hijack over
sorry

I just picked my S3 up yesterday. I bought one only a week after being allowed to have a go in Podie's one at the Mid essex meet. That's what clinched it for me.
If you have any luck with the viewing this weekend and go ahead with doing an inspection, then I thoroughly recommend Rob Ingleby. He looked at mine and was brilliant. Within two days of me phoning he'd seen it and given me a verbal report. He also does and HPI check, valuation and full written report.
I also went armed with Pies's checklist which is really good and very thorough.
Good luck with the viewing - have fun!!!!
