ILB?

Don't like the wood trim. Standard brushed alloy or optional piano black suit the car better.

Don't like the chrome window surrounds either. They look wrong on an M car.

May 2005 was when the model was launched.

I thought it looked really great when it first came out. Now I dont, makes the car look a bit 'soft' IMO.
Black etc is more in keeping.

The interior is truly vile though.

I like that interior, it's just not suited to the exterior colour. Black or silver goes well with red leather imo.

eta - actually extended Red is a bit much.....I'd leave the dash and console black.

Wouldn't cost a lot to replace the wood. I mean, it might be dear for the amount of trim parts you get, but it's not £10k dear.

Car was never worth anywhere near £37990 anyway, the £10k so called reduction just brings it down to a reasonable price, still a bit much though.

That car has not had the running in service completed on time - was offered it but turned it down. They would not offer the AUC warranty with it also.

Wood trim is standard with the full leather interior.

Personally I think the chrome exterior trim looks more out of place than the wood.

Why's it on the AUC site then?

It's a great colour. Silverstone is the soft one.

Wood on the other hand can be got rid of. I ordered mine with piano black.

The chrome is tragic.

Do not believe it hasn't got the AUC warranty if it's on the AUC site – BMW wouldn't allow it!

Unless they did not want me as a buyer - then true!

Sometimes naughty things happen in the world and not everything is 100% quality controlled!!!
