So campers, anyone up for footy on Saturday afternoon?

Porsche owners vs TVR vs Lotus vs Caterhams vs Scoobies

I would include the Ultima boys but I'm not sure they'd manage it

I reckon the Caterham lads would walk it, fast, small and nimble, excellent for nipping in and out and good with corners...

God its starting to sound like an answer from a Blind Date contestent

Being a Tvr owner we would be 'Loud and Raw but wouldnt last to long before overheating'

Is that real football or car football (where you drive cars around a field hitting a beach ball or somesuch)

How about bringing some cones and having a slalom competition

If the TVR team is over subcribed we could split it into speed 6 and V8 teams, IMHO the speed 6 team would be diving all the time and complaining about their `fingers`.

To make this happen, we'll need a few ref's.....any volunteers?

Depends how 'serious' the footy is going to be - if its 'just fun' then it might be worth sharing the ref stuff between a few of the players coz I can't imagine many who want to be 'full time' refs.

Put me down as a player first and someone who will ref a bit if required as a last resort.

There is another option, still keeping within the same idea- Human Table Football......maybe some of you have seen or experienced this.

Basically, the device is a big inflatable version of Table Football, 5/7 a side- you velcro strap yourself to a number of padded poles with other team mates, and the opposing team does the same- you have an "organised" kick about, strictly confined to the limits of the playing arena- the idea is to get your team mates on the same pole to co-operate and work together to ensure you all move in the same direction at the same time to kick the ball......good fun, takes up a lot less space, and can be conveniently situated right next to the beer tent!

Anybody fancy this instead???????

Maybe get 5/7 similar car owners from the forums/ clubs together, then we can schedule matches much easier, and only 1 ref is required total.
It can be organised for a 4 hour period, say Sunday morning knockout, start at 11am, ending 3pm so we still have time to give out the prize for the winning team(s) before everybody vanishes home.

I think human table football would be better too, more of a laugh and without the need for goalposts and a pitch marked out etc.
