I'm after a cuddy/weekender/off shore cruiser project,approx. 23 to 28 ft. with inboard V6 or V8 needing work, preferably mechanical e.g. engine &/or drive.
Anybody know of anything ?
Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin,

We've got ours for sale at the moment, unfortunately (for you) we fitted a brand new 3.0GL Volvo engine and SX drive in 2007 so it doesn't need any work there!

Interior needs TLC and the exterior would benefit from a good T-Cut. It would be a good project to complete ;-) and would see you good for years to come!

Here's the link http://www.jonesboatyard.co.uk/boatsales/boatDetai...

Sorry for the shameless plug!!

Cheers

Mark

Ok, lets see if i can copy it over

c 1987 Sunseeker 31 Offshore, with Volvo AQ211A v8 petrols
Recorded 580 hours , 3559 miles , Rear Double cabin , head with shower, Saloon converts to large double. 2 burner Gas hob , ss sink.
Hydraulic trim tabs , Bimini top and tonnneau cover , electric windlass
Engines need work

I saw the same boat in a feature within Motor Boat Monthly, they said it was good value for someone wanting a project. However at that time the engines were in a foot of water due to busted canopy & standing a while.

Its up for 17,950 but i'd make a significantly lower offer. Its at http://www.essexboatyards.com/boats/view.php/13/Su...

Good luck

Thanks for that, a bit too big (I would like something that came in at 3.5 t including trailer),but I haven't discounted it totally & while looking for others for a price guide of a good one I came across another Sunseeker that might just be the project.
I then came across this Sunseeker Portofino which seems very cheap & needs nothing doing to it,less than the others needing engines !.
Again thanks for the link ,please post if you find any more.

that looks really nice for the money, its got to be worth viewing.

i would of valued the 31 at more like 10k than 17.

i may have a hunt around, i'll let you know if i come accross anything.

Just fyi, i know a guy with a sea ray 220 DA, its about 1993 but has a brand new 5.0V8 mercruiser. Its in superb condition and i reckon he might let it go for 13-15k.
