I'm still looking into the whole Z4M thing at the moment. I've seen a car that has 8k on the clock. Now I'm assuming at that mileage that theres going to be a service coming up within the next couple of thousand miles?

Are the Z4's on adaptive schedules? Will the next service be "inspection 1" or "inspection 2"?

Thanks in advance!

There are some things that are "time dependent" rather than mileage dependent, but I got my Z4M with 7,500 on the clock and the first service was an oil change at about 12000. They also changed the brake fluid though as I think this is every two years.

I'm now on 18,000 and it tells me I've still got 6,500 to go until Inspection I, so you should be alright for a while.

Thanks for the reply.

So inspection one is the £500ish bill and inspection 2 is the one you need to save up/remortgage for?

From what I have read on here, inspection I is probably a minimum of 500...but shop around as it always pays to do so.

With the thought of the warranty from new expiring at the end of this year, I'm more worried about coughing up a grand for the one year extension on that!!!!

Yeah I've got no problem using specialists for servicing so hopefully that will keep costs down. Just a case of waiting for the right car to come along now but the prices vary massively!

Not sure if you are after the Coupe or Roadster, but quite frankly for either of these prices are an absolute steal at the moment.

It's one heck of a car for the money you can get them for now!

My advice - if you see one you like, go for it, because there aren't that many around.

Yeah has to be the roadster I think ready for the summer although if I'mhonest I prefer the looks of the coupe. Roadsters are bargains usually but prices range from18 to 24k foe seemingly very similar cars. Not looking to spend more than 16-17k if I can help it.

I preferred the looks of the Coupe too....

Services after 1,250 running in (must be done to keep warranty)
Oil Service approx £250
Inspection 1 (£6-800)
Oil Service
Inspection 2 (£1000 - 1200)

Average time between services based on countdown mileage but is based on litres of fuel used. Average 11-14,000 miles. Mine had done 25,500 miles when I bought it (main dealer, ex management car) and had just had its inspection 1 done at 25,300 miles. Mine with 26.5k on clock was £18,800 with full main dealer backup, warrenty and great preparation on the car. Not kidding when I say it looks new, it could be just out of the showroom. Oh yes its a Nov 2006 car.

Hope this helps.

Very useful thanks for that.

Good price for a dealer car too!
