I've said before about the reality of reliabilty and ownership versus what people's perceptions are. I personally found it funny today :

Just happened to fill up next to a 996 Turbo at Tesco's. Everyone was looking at my car, and I really did wonder why I thought about a buying a Beetle instead (Ok I remember - it was a great drive - but funny handling 'cause the lump was at the back of the car).

On the way out of the office carpark - a new M3 coupe was broken - nice engineers were trying to fix it.

And then I read the latest EVO tonight and the long term Rarri is still broken.

I love my car (Tuscan - no probs) !

Cheers,

Andy.

Spot on. Ask benno and he will tell you that his BMW 330 has broken down more in the last year than all my four old TVR's put together

Bad reliability;- "My arse"

They are no worse than any other make...

Had my 91 S3 for 3 and a Half Years and it never, and i mean NEVER broke down once.
In comparison to over cars i think the ratio is proberly the same in breakdowns,Im allways seeing noFocus's,Vegtras, etc on the hard shoulder!!
