Herts and Beds Run-in to meet
Discussion
That time again and the weather looking tropical
Anyone wishing to join in for a convoy from the Ware/Herts area over to the Herts and Beds meet at Baldock (The long way of course!)?
If the roads are dry then we could do a longer run of around 1hr - 1hr30
Will wait till the last minute before announcing the start time but will be between 9:30 and 10 this Sunday. Usual meeting spot at the McD's has become a little crowded so may meet somewhere else this Sunday. TBC
Open to route suggestions and a leader. You must be getting bored of me leading and always missing the turn off to the Pub at the end!

Would love to get out and attend my 1st Bed & Buck's meeting. Typically there is always something that gets in the way of doing it though..honest.
This time it's a recent surgery (spinal fusion & disc replacement) which means i'm not allowed to drive until Feb!

If issues at MaccyD's why not use the service station at Baldock ?????
Hi Steve, Ribs and wrist bearable now? Only reason i keep the meet-up point in Ware is because i know the country roads around here and how long they take to traverse! McD's only a prob if over 10 cars.

Again don't think i will be able to get there this month
Good news though! The insurance company received the witness statement but they said it will take a week to process, so i am waiting to hear the verdict on Tuesday to see whats going on. Its been taking too long.
Hopefully it will all be sorted by February and i can start doing bits that i want to do on the car

That is good news. The roads have not been good so not a great loss of driving opportunities. Look forward to you rejoining us. Welcome to passenger again if you want.

Which day is that? If the car is going (don't ask...) and I'm around I'll come down.
This coming Sunday. Your car will be fine. Just throw money in it's general direction and all will be well...

If it's above zero and there's no salt on the road I come. Where's the meet in Ware.
Chas, that's many weeks away then. Latest forecasts predict the weather in the south east to be getting colder again.I fail to understand why some TVR drivers fear, what you deem to be a deal breaker, to what could be a good run.
That is a fantastic looking car in your profile. Get out there and drive it!
CJ- much as I'm staying in Hammersmith over Saturday night, I'm gonna finally try to make your meet on Sunday. Despite the car being covered in salt..

The main meet is in Baldock at the Tudor oaks. A group of us often meet up in ware at the McDonalds carpark on the A414 Hertford/A10 round about in ware. We then convoy out to the meet at around 10-10:30. The RO is Mal (Grumpy bear)If it's above zero and there's no salt on the road I come. Where's the meet in Ware.

The weather is looking OK for the Ware convoy in to the Tudor oaks. So lets make it a little longer this month!!
Unless anyone offers to lead on a route of their own then I suggest the following:
Meet at 9:45 at McD's on the A414 (hertford)/A10 roundabout and leave prompt at 10:15.
On leaving the carpark get back out to the roundabout and take the 3rd left (the one after the A10 south/London) exit. We will go into Ware and out passed Wareside, along through the HadHam's and the Pelhams, round to Buntingford and then up to Baldock. Route will take about an hour so be fueled up and ready. Will stop a few times on route to regather. Especially at the start. If everyone keeps the person behind in their sight then those in front can slow to keep the group together.
Fingers crossed it is dry!
