Yoong To Return To F1?
Discussion
Good news for all you who want to see more mobile chicanes in Formula One: Alex Yoong reckons he could be back in the sport next season.
In an uninspiring 2002, Yoong’s performances (or should that be ‘non-performances’?) were a source of wonder and delight to many. The Malaysian, a pay driver for Minardi, proved to be remarkably slow and failed to qualify for three races.
However, he could be back.
“There is an offer to race, and I am hopeful that something might come out of it but it will require sponsorship and there are lots of drivers out there with cash, so we shall have to wait and see,” Alex told his official website.
“F1 is tough in that second chances are hard to come by, but if given a second chance I think I would surprise a few people.”
