Interesting.

What were the carbon water cut templates you got from the US like, decent quality?

OK... its hand laid, so only good for decorative purposes... but was water jet cut, which was very accurate.

Did these on our CNC cutter at work for my GTR. Excellent precision and cost peanuts. The machine takes a DXF file so easy to use. Will try to get a pic of them installed.

We tend to cut 4mm layered plastic laminates (cut out and the engraved text), the thing can do metal too apparently. Good thing about DXF is that it can all be designed to scale and all the cutouts are micron perfect..

Liam, where did you find the artwork "Symbols"?

Thanks,

Picked the symbols of the web and did a BMP/JPG to DXF conversion. They needed a bit of cleaning up but turned out great.

Hi Liam,
How thick of material did you use or would you recommend to use?

Also, if I were to want to have the dash include the switches for the various lights, windshield washer, hazards, etc that wraps around the corner near the driver toward the roll bar, would the bending of the aluminum piece change the size of the holes and make it difficult to insert the switch when it is all done?

Thanks,
Paul
