What ever happened to the Peter Beech Manual
Discussion
Bored so decided to have a read through a downloaded copy of Peter Beech's manual. Anyone know what happended to it being updated. Loads of useful tips in there which dont appear in the holy book. Seems a shame no more stuff has been added. Is Peter still around?

Yes, it's still there but
"Last updated 12th October 1999"
Pity. Anybody know who Peter is and where?
IIRC Peter left the TVR community but left the manuals there for anyone to find them useful. I found thme so though I think they could do with updating. A project of selflessness for someone, perhaps?
I think Peter still likes in Sussex but the
last time I saw him he had traded his Griff 500
for an MG 'F' ... yuk..
I shudder at the thought..
Yes - the manual was a great effort at the time - when
if you had a mechanical question on the Griff / Chimp
- people just refered you to a dealer.
Peter worked had on that with the guys from TVR Redhill
- I think it was Mike Sweeney (now castle) but I could be wrong on that.
It would be a good idea if someone took it over !

Ah the good old days....When my Griff was new and Pistonheads was a glint in Teds trousers ![]()

Aye, true, the Egroups days (or was it even the one before Egroups back then
). I still remember peoples' comments when I changed my username to ian.has@evrtasmin.... caused some consternation cos people didn't get the '@evr' bit...

Oh aye, easily! Back in the days when Blair was new, and my ex taught him how to use a PC (supposedly
), the (ex)wife bought a Celeron 266 with 12-speed CD-ROM: bit of an eye-opener for me as I still used a Commodore 64...
I soon found a search engine and typed in 'TVR', but you didn't get anything like the pages of stuff that comes up now! Never thought I'd have my name on any of it either...
I still see a few folk from those days: Marcus Brady and Neil Vince both work not far from me these days; Graham Walden on the odd occasion; Neil Menzies was up at the recent Big Northern Gathering; but haven't seen hide or hair of Neil Snowdon (aka Norbert Dentressangle!) since 2001. Unless he's on here, and I just haven't realised...
I suppose quite a few guys have got fed up/ bored/ bankrupt and left the fold....
Time is passing; some of us will be retiring before you know it... well, the older chaps, like Manek...
