PS3 AV Out Buzzing Noise
Discussion
Evening all,
This has been bugging me for a couple of days since realising its doing this when watching a DVD...
When connected up to my TV, there is a very distinct buzzing noise.
I am using the standard AV out cable that came in the box, connecting it via Scart to the TV. I've checked all the connections and they're all secure and not loose.
I've googled this and results are pretty sparse - the ones I have predominantly found saying that the AV Out port on the PS3 has had it... do I need to make a trip back to Argos???

In case anyone else was searching for something like this, I have found that it seems to be caused by my Virgin set-top box.
Fiddling around with all of the connections didn't seem to work at first - even unplugging certain items from the mains didn't stop it. However, persistence paid off, and it seems that the noise from the PS3 is made when the scart lead from the Virgin box is also connected to my TV. Even stranger is that it is only the PS3 that this happens with - my Wii, Xbox 1 and PS2 are all fine.
A bit of further googling found something to do with feedback loops due to the PS3 having an extra (ground?) pin in its Multi AV connection in comparison to the PS2.
So if you're having a similar problem, unplug everything, start with what you think is the problem item, and begin plugging everything else back in from there until you find your buzz
