Just a quick note to say that my company will be there promoting a new Home Cinema trade organisation (PAC - Passionate About Cinema). The stand will be near the main stage, so if anyone is there feel free to pop on for a quick demo!

I'll be there on Sunday so say hello if you are about!

Cheers

Chris

I wish you the best of luck but i'm affraid I wont be attending.

In the past I loved and attended the shows but in the last few years the stands that i liked to shop at have all been pushed out by the cost of the stands.

When a boater buys his boat, he probably owns it for 5 years before considering another one, as such there are 5 years of show visits when I want more than just new white polished plastic. I want toys, gifts, kayaks, dinghys, windsurfers, clothes, shoes etc etc etc

Unfortunately these have all been driven away

So i wont be bothering to attend....

....And they wonder why people buy online instead of the chandlery shop

Yeah I did see this today and spoke with the salesman and yes they will only be making 150 of them at £61,500 each - incl. VAT, ropes, covers - everything you'd need and she planes at 16-18knots and goes onto 45-50knots.
It is a stunning vessel by any standard and will have the exclusive factor added to the mix. thumbup

I was there yesterday - not too bad, some nice boats there, including Riva.

Oh, and some nice jet ski's too - I liked the Prototype one from Sea-Doo, with hydraulic suspension at almost £14K biggrin

it's turning out to be an interesting show... quiet in numbers, but some good business going on behind the scenes... sunseeker have already done two predator 130's over the course of the weekend.

we're doing well with our windys with both the 44 chinook and 48 triton showing in the uk for the first time (i can be found hiding out on the 48 towering above the southern side of the north hall directly opposite sunseeker).

had the tour of the sunseeker 38m last nite along with the other big toys... not too bad all things considered... dirt cheap too when compared with the traditional 'big-hitters' at that length range... good work chaps!

I didn't no, but I would estimate it to be at about £600K depending on which spec. & engine set up you had - go on do tell???

Sorry Dave,
That's all I had from the SeaDoo stand as it really stood out from all the other skis.

Not a bad guess! IIRC it was £545k biggrin

Think of what else you could get for that money, it's madness!

I know - I noticed a significant difference from years gone by, although I was told by a salesman it was becuase it was a Monday - I always go on a Monday so don't know what the guy was on about - In 2006 you couldn't get a photo without someone being in the way and this year it was hard to get photos with people in them. lol

the monday is traditionally the quietest and this year it was certainly no exception... the numbers built up nicely towards the end of the week, but the figures were noticeably down from previous years.

we experienced no real shortage of people prepared to spend money, but unfortunately with the difference between used boat values and new boat prices growing ever larger and the reluctance to take part exchanges, there was lots of frustation on both sides of the fence...

could have been worse though...
