Where do GTs go to do their testing?

Having attended F1 testing for many years and getting rather fed up with F1 (but that's another story!) I'd like to watch GT testing (it beats working)- if I knew where it was done/how to get in etc...does anyone have any information?

Free to watch GT testing.

We (Tuscan Challenge) often do the same test sessions as the GTs during the season (the first time I drove my Tuscan was in a test at Rockingham with the Moslers etc on track at the same time)

I'm afraid I don't have the winter testing dates though. 220 may be able to help you

We went and did some testing at Val de Vienne this year (March time) and there was also the Larbre Competition Viper there and a few Spanish Porsche's there (see my site for a few photos from then) and also a 406 touring car (which sounded completely mad!)

last time i went testing at mallory the eclipse t400r was also there...

on an open test day pretty much anything can turn up...

at silverstone once a m8 was testing his bike powered single seater and there was an f1 on the track at the same time component testing !!!!!

British GT's tend to test on the Friday before their meeting.

GT Teams don't have days booked xclusively like F1 (Were the teams all chip in and hire the circuit and medical facilities) they go to general test days up and down the country. Snetterton is a popular place as it has long straights and good corners for set-up work. Donington is another and Silverstone International. As for when they are. There is no way of knowing unless you ask the teams. They might not even know if they are going until a few days before and they need to test a driver or car development/reliability issue.
