PS3, GT5

I've asked my missus for a ps3 for my birthday in a couple of weeks. I see that GT5 is due out end of March, is it worth getting gt5 prologue in the meantime?

Is it any good?

There hasn't been an official announcement on GT5 yet, earliest release rumour seems to be March, but then looking at Polyphony's previous record it could be next year still, they've laughed at this claim, but until there is an official announcement from Sony I'd take the March claim with your biggest pinch of salt.

Is there any info on what exactly the full release is adding to the Prologue?
Apart from too few circuits (6 with 2 variations of each), Prologue seems a pretty full game to me.

To answer your quetion, Jollygreen, I think for £19 or whatever it is, GT5 Prologue gives you a lot of game for the money. Definitely worth getting.

I've had this since Christmas so not played it much, but so far would have to disagree, no modification of cars, no weather/ night time effects, no tuning at all, no damage (ok, GT5 probaly wont have it either!) but compared to Forza on the 360, prologue is very basic and i assume GT5 will pick this slack up?

Its the same as the prologue for number 4 i think it was, it really doesn't represent the final product in any sense other then the graphics will be the same and the handling will change very little

Just to re-iterate there is no way GT5 will be released in March.

Someone from Sony recently stated Christmas 2009 as a release date for GT5, and then PD quickly released a statement saying that there was no release date and it would be ready when it's ready.

Might be Christmas 2009, but whenever the Japanese release is, epect the European relase ro be a couple of months behind

good good, almost completed A class, just strugging on a couple of them.

No, not even close. Full version should be a match for Forza though.

I honestly think this (GT5) will be a benchmark game. I recon on Christmas this year for release. And don't forget they can now update the game even after release, you couldn't do that with GT4.
The longer it takes to release, the better in my opinion. Everyone just needs to be patient.

And besides its not like the programmers are sleeping on the job, oh wait.
