Looks like I have sorted out my project car, from one of the members of our lovely forum.

Look forward to collecting it and bolting it all back together!
So brace yourself for a load of dumb questions as to rebuild a car you didn't strip is always interesting!!!

Hope all the bits are in the bag!
Should end up being a lovely car with a complete chassis and suspension refurb nearlly complete.
Hope to get it MOT's for the early summer! so I'll be keeping an eye on the events!

Good to hear you got something sorted Mike.
Its really not that hard to put the thing together - though as you say it helps if you were the one that took it to bits!

Not sure if this is of any interest, but I've got an S1 that I started doing a complete body off restoration on a couple of years ago. The body is currently off, the chassis has had all the outriggers replaced, shot blasted, cold galvanised and powder coated. The chassis is now rolling with all suspension refitted and ready for the body to go back on.

The engine and gearbox have been overhauled / rebuilt and are waiting to go back in. So basically it just needs putting back together and finishing off. A new arrival in the family and a need to move house, mean I haven't got time to do it. If you are interested I can give you more details, but I am in Dorset, so a bit further than 80 miles!

I 'm hoping to get an advert in the for sales section soon.

There's a few methods - this was my take on using photobucket

Mike if you need a hand to lift it onto a trailer or something get something out on the appropriate area forum in advance - you'd be amazed how many good guys there are out there willing to help.

I'm intrigued to see how you get it home though!

Mine was in a similar state. I brought the body home on a tailer and the chassis engine etc in a luton type van with a rear lift platform. Needed the rear lift platform for the engine/gearbox which were on a small bogey thingymajig. All the bits went in the van between and around the chassis. Good luck

the chassis is rolling now and ready for the body to go back on pretty much so the seller has kindly offered to pop it back on and just sit the engine and box back in, should be able to load pretty normally then!

will still be interesting though.
