I finally got my hands on a slide scanner, so this evening I saw my pictures from India (in October) properly for the first time. Luckily didn't take me too long to scan as I only exposed 3 1/2 rolls of film in the end (took 15 with me
). Anyway, here are some, all taken on an M6 with a 35mm f/2 lens,

Lovely stuff as usual. I assume these haven't had much processing done on them?
I lust after an M series camera but I think I'd struggle to get it past the wife...

Interesting - they load as low-res images first then sharpen up, rather than simply unrolling from the top. Is that something you did or a function of the host?
When you create a jpg file you can choose to create one that is a "progressive scan" file. This will load as a sequence of increasingly sharper images like several passes of a scanner, rather than loading top to bottom like a normal jpeg.
Very nice
A couple of things surprise me though; firstly, that you shot so few rolls given what was available, and secondly, you being a 'people' shooter (wedding tog) that you didn't do more people street photography.
I was supposed to visit India this time last year, everything booked etc. We sadly had a death in the family and I was unable to go - gutted I didn't as it looks superb.

Hi Andy - f I wanted to take lots of photos, or one like I do at work, I would have taken my normal setup! As it was, I enjoy taking it easy and just taking the odd snap, although I like to do it with old equipment so there is a bit of a challenge there.

not a lot, just to make them look on the computer how they look on the slide - after the scanner has finished with them they look like pooI lust after an M series camera but I think I'd struggle to get it past the wife...
you should try and get an M, it is good fun although there is no such thing as a grabbed shot, it probably takes me at least 5 seconds to take the quickest picture, although I'm sure that would get better with experience as I've only had 4 rolls through it so far.

Funny you should say that as just 30 seconds ago I finished trawling ebay for M-series bodies. A decent M6 body is within reach, but once you factor in glass it gets very scary very quickly.I like the idea of a rangefinder and it's definitely on the "to do" list for the future, I'll just keep doing the lottery for now.
