I can't see anyone getting close to that. As I just posted eleswhere, there was a thread here earlier where the White Elephant guys have negotiated a discount with Footman James.

I use admiral on there multi car policy. I'm just over £500 for my Tuscan and my Vectra, both fully comp. Hagerty were useless when I phoned them, couldn't have cared less about my business.

Hi,

I am 33 with a Cerbera and have just switched from AON CLassic to Hagerty. £420 with unlimited 365 days in Europe cover

No one else could get under £600

Hagerty gets my vote - and great car enthusiasts too

Hagerty recently told me they had stopped insuring under 30's on TVR's. When did you get this quote?

I'm already with Hagerty, so this is a renewal quote. But you are correct they are not taking new customers under 30, to protect their existing members from people buying these cars are the marque going down the route of not being able to insure them like the cossies and evo thing.

Guess I should stay with them, they were great over the last year, and love the fact there is no automated telephone, just a real person smile

On a side note David - Hagerty refused to insure my Supercharged Chimaera. I was just curious as to other brokers quotes for my car so rang around and Hagerty were the first I rang.

In fact the minute I said "I've had a Supercharger fitted and..." he interrupted to say "woah! That unfortunately ends our interest in insuring your car - I'm afraid we dont deal with insurance for those kind of performance modifications. Try someone dealing with the moddified Ford crowd as they'll probably be willing to do you a deal for your TVR"

I'm still with A-Plan.

I'm with them too Ian, and they cover the cost of the mods, it just still seems a tad expensive smile

Well, Hagerty still get my vote - real people with a genuine interest in TVR's. They also attend many shows around the country and so it is great to be able to speak to them face to face. Top stuff!

Jesus, thats all very cheap compared to me.

I'm 31, 5 years NCB, no claims in last 5 years, and paying £700ish for 6000 miles p/a.

I think I need to do some ringing around at renewal time.

I renewed last month - used MSM Insurance who were very helpful, real people at the end of the phone, etc. Insured my 98 Chim 450 for £399 including Insurance premium tax for 7.5k miles pa. Oh, and I'm 35 with 2 speeding convictions.

Just having to claim for a windscreen as small stone chip from the other day has developed into a foot-wide crack. So far all has ran very smoothly, phoned MSM this morning, phone answered straight away, was immediately given instructions and direct glass claim line to call. Car is booked in for next Wednesday am at depot as they know it's a complicated job. Pretty confidence inspiring so far, which is the real test of a good insurance company...
