The picture you hope to take in 2009?
Discussion
I achieved a couple of goals last week actually while I was off work: i) a 'macro' type shot of a match igniting and ii) white smoke on black background of smoke trails from expired matches.
I'm a total amature and I like the geeky side of photography, so a lot of what I do at the moment is trying to re-create images or effects I've seen used by others. Therefore my things to do in 2009 are techniques to try rather than subjects I want to photograph.

- Decent HDR photo of something. (Not everyone's cup of tea I know, but there are some impressive images out there and I'd like to have a go myself.)
- Off camera/multiple flash shots of my car at sunset. (Flashes used for fill in.)
- Moving car photos where the camera is attached to the car. (Using a camera mounted on sucker either on the body or window and a remote shutter release for a >1sec exposure.)
- Waterfal/stream/waves/clouds using >1sec exposure and an a flat ND filter so as not to over expose, thereby creating the 'soft' look to the moving fluid.
Getting more time to actually take pictures would be a great start. e.g. Myself and TonyH(Veyron passenger extraordanaire) have been talking for about a year to go out and shoot both our cars... Never happened yet.
Failing that a nice scenic image with my Landrover in it - It was planned to be in New Zealand this year but that's been pushed back to 2010 so I fear it may be in the remoteness of Scotland or in the wilderness of Norway somewhere.

To capture some Sea Eagles on Mull, hopefully. That's the aim for our honeymoon there next month anyway! Well, that and other things, of course!
Also to catch some Kestrel and other raptor shots of the birds near our new house in the country.
Mainly to get the camera out more often than the last 6 months of 2008.

Slightly O/T, but here's a Sea(white-tailed)Eagle and one or two other Raptors -

The 5 year old Mull Sea Eagle roosts here often (blue tag), so if you are up this way, let me know and I'll show you the exact tree you should look (You'll need a 400mm or a boat mind)
Steve
Thanks Steve. Will bear that in mind, although, I have neither of those requirements! Steve
