Wii remotes

I am going to buy a Wii tomorrow, but am a little confused about the remotes.

I am assuming you need at least two remotes and nunchucks so you can play with other people, but that is an extra £50!

All I really want to know is do you need two, and you just have to put up with the cost, or is there a cheaper site to buy them from, as it just sounds a bit of a con.

You get one wiimote and one nunchuck, we have just bought wii play, you get another wiimote in there free, usually about £40 for the game- which consists of about 7 activities. I have only found one game in 'sports' and 'play' that needs a nunchuck.

Yep, get Wii-play and a remote comes "free", given that Wii play costs about the same as a remote.. Then just £15 on the nunchuck and away you go.

Two remotes are better for tennis etc.. as well IMHO..

Indeed. You need at least 2 remotes. Don't worry so much about a second nunchuk though - only a few games use them. I hardly use mine at all

Thanks for all the advice, at least if I buy Wii Play it will be like getting a free game.

Several games on it, they are rather good fun too.......

Check the back of games as to whether they need a nunchuck or not.
