I don't know anything about a ferrari apart from that it look really cool.
I didn't know that there was more than one model.
I always used to see one model when I came across it so you can understand why I thought there was only 1one model.
Anyway, which model is the coolest and which least?
Can anyone list all the mdels starting with coolest on top and give a fairly good idea how much each would cost.

Chassis,

I'm not an expert either but in general the Spyder models are considered to be cooler than the hardtops, although A/C models built for the US market, particularly Florida are also considered cool.

In terms of the number of different models - you should try this site, there is a link to the Ferrari pages under 'Group Websites' and they even have a discussion forum you can register for.

www.fiatgroup.com

I would expect you will get a more constructive response from there than some of the sarcastic replies you have received on here.

Good Luck.

As I said before, you must be retarded or just taking the piss. I'd put my money on being a retard and I must therefore apologies on behalf of me and all others on this forum. We should not rip the piss out of you, but instead be understanding to your situation.

I believe that I dont do enough for charity and I can count these posts towards that account. Others can hold you (Chassis)responsible for reduction of charity to others...

Maybe the website owner should implement an age check system to reduce this kind of event. Oh, sorry I forget you may be 25 but with the mental age of ?????

JSG the problem is that we all are ROFLMAO-ing after we read a general gassing thread:

www.pistonheads.net/gassing/topic.asp?t=6184&f=23&h=0

Reading here chassis seems really crunched. Which Ferrari ? What a Nobel question (not noble). I can't decide which I'd like the most. HELP ME

www.bcs-ferrari.it/products1.htm

And Lambo's:

www.lamborghini-tractors.com/galleria.cfm?ident_gamma=10

The last one is "Top Fuel" one. Drag tractor.

Chassis,

Maybe if you took the time to do a bit of research (the interweb is great for that !!) before asking loads of stupid questions then you *may* get some helpful responses.

As it is, you're just making yourself look like a total muppet.

People here will help if they think others are asking genuine or realistic questions, however, some of your posts have all the markings of a bored schoolboy !! For example, someone who claims to want to build their own car from scratch yet doesn't know there have been more than one Ferrari is going to raise alarm bells....

Chassis,

It may be that you're not trying to wind anyone up - but the continual questions and statements re not wanting to go back to studying or learn seem at odds with the initial questions.

I've read through your posts and must admit that I don't fully understand what you are asking for / trying to achieve. If you want to build a car then the 'locost' route is the easiest way to go and you should invest in Ron's book as a starting point. The reason the design is based on the 50's look as you call it is due to the relative ease and low cost of manufacture, more curvy swoopy body panels are harder / more time consuming to form.

Also multi posts will not endear you to people who think you may be a wind up anyhow, so restrict to a single thread.

If you read this please post stating what your aim is so that you can get the best advise.

Cheers,
JSG.

Chassis, do you mean that you aim to design and build your own car from scratch ????(Incl Engine)

If so, as has been stated here before, you will need access to an awful lot of hardware (Chap I know owns a Metalworks Factory) and he would not take on this challenge, it is a seriously time consuming and expensive business..

Why not start of with a 7 or something to assemble and cut your teeth on, then see what you can do in a few years time..

Good luck to you though, cause you`ll need it..

Just because I want to build my own car and don't know anything about ferraris doesn't make me stupid.
You don't have to know about ferraris to know about cars!
You know about cars but don't know of Tata vehicles do you?
You know where this company originates or how many models they have?
Yet, that doesn't mean that you don't know about cars does it?
Now would it be right for me to make the same remarks to you that you made to me that:

"someone who claims to want to build their own car from scratch yet doesn't know there have been more than one Ferrari is going to raise alarm bells...."

You don't know much or even anything about Tata vehicles but that doesn't stop you to build your own car so why do I have to know about ferraris to build my own cars?

Chassis,

This site is for petrol heads who enjoy good cars, some of us have heard, and even seen Tata vehicles and would not be at all interested in a 60's design, sluggish non-turbo diesel pick-up or 4x4. How you hope to retain the interest of some of us, who have genuinely tried to help you, when you mention Tata and Ferrari in the same post is a bit mystifying. Your profile shows you come from London, yet you claim only to have seen one model of Ferrari? Do you not watch TV at all? The more you write the more unbelievable it gets. We will try to help you with genuine queries, but, also do some homework and try reading the books people suggest.

FFS Chassis you RETARD !!!

I was simply making the point that if you want help from people on here then ask sensible questions and DON'T start giving people grief when they offer some constructive criticism !!!

If you had taken the time to read my post, rather than simply responding to it in a childish manner, you would have seen that I was simply pointing out that someone who comes onto a forum like this, asks how to build a car from scratch but yet doesn't know there's more than one type of Ferrari is likely to make people suspicious of your true motives, i.e. do you really want to build a car or just wind people up ??!!!

Now, why don't you make a start on your dream-like project by growing up a bit and listening to people !!

Incidentally I do know of the Tata company, but frankly I couldn't care less what they build or whether they still exist. And let's face it, Tata is somewhat more obscure than Ferrari, which is possibly one of the most famous brands in the world !! However, if I *did* want to find out some information about Tatas I would have the courtesy of doing a little research before asking other people for their information.

Maybe not, but it'd take me all of five minutes to find out www.tata.com/tata_engg/.

That was tricky wasn't it?

Why don't you do the same :
www.ferrari.com/cgi-bin/fworld.dll/ferrariworld/scripts/gt/cars_oggi.jsp

Why don't you make you own little league table of the 'coolest' Ferraris like all the other children do? You could stop asking us stupid questions about Ferraris then.
