glovebox key

Lost my glovebox key for my S3C...can I get a replacement anywhere?
knowing TVR, I guess there were different types of key/lock??

Glovebox also continuously drops open when driving...any tips to repair this?

Mark, I'm sure I saw the keys for sale on TVR Car Parts website once, I've tried to do a link but their website seems to be having problems at the monent. I too used to have the same problem with the door falling open all the time and upon investigation I found that the key will turn through 180 degrees, the first 90 degrees moves the latch to the closed position and the 2nd 90 degrees actually pulls the latch tight thereby preventing it from working loose and falling open, good luck with it.

There is a thread in here somewhere where somebody found the company that makes the locks. But doing a search isn't bringing anything up. I thought I had bookmarked it, but it appears I haven't. Maybe somebody else has the link.

Its a Southco product.

From memory, the key code is stamped down the end of the hollow barrel of the key - no help if you have mislaid the key but it might be on the lock too ?

The key must be a standard one for the S series as I bought one several years ago from a TVR dealer; it was from stock and without having to check any numbers so they are all the same.

yes also tried TVR parts website, but seems to be unavailable. Will give Neil a ring there and see if they can advise...

When i bought an S3 last summer looked at glove box "key" and thought seen something similar to that before ? We use exactly the same key to remove access panels on large air conditioners at work ! think I could find a couple of spares if anyone really struggling.
