Hi all HNY to every body
took S2 out earlier for a good run out prob done about 40 miles. Am happy now have new fuel pump & inline bullet filter to pump fitted. Starting to enjoy driving it & just cruising along at 60mph is therapeutic, a nice 911 over took me plus other sporty cars with all drivers eyeballing the S as they went past. NICE lol.

Went out and drove 120 miles today, just because it seemed like a good idea. Went to the bottom edge of the Highlands, beautiful scenery, empty roads, frost / icy bits, roof off, freezing cold. Loved it.

The S is now parked outside, and it's getting dark. The car is filthy, the wheels are manky, it's sitting there ticking as it cools down.

Tomorrow I'm going to wash it, clean the wheels, hose underneath and get rid of any road salt. I'm also going to finish another couple of jobs.

I guess it would be easier not to use it in the winter. Easier, but not nearly as much fun. I didn't buy it as a financial investment, I bought it to enjoy. And today, I did.

Roof is an easy decision.

Is there stuff falling out of the sky that could make me get wet? Yes? Roof on.

All other circumstances - roof off.

sorry to hear you have had probs, I resently fitted a new fuel pump & a bullet inline filter which goes in between tank & pump. My fuel hose is new also.

This is Scotland, where you can get all 4 seasons of the year, compressed into a single hour. Of course I take the roof panels with me (also, just in case I decide to stop and have a wander about, and need to lock the car up).

I've been out for a lovely blast tonight. Roof off of course, its just not the same with the roof on. Is it my imagination, or does the S sound so much better when it's really really cold outside ? I was only going to go for a short run but I had so much fun eating up executive saloons that I almost found myself three counties away hehe

Went out yesterday. Very enthusiastic trip up the A1 (maybe it doesn't take off after all...) and a brief blat through the Cambridgeshire countryside.

So much salt though! And I had my first experience of black ice. Fortunately at about 3mph on a petrol station forecourt, but there was a slightly comedic moment when I had to get out and push, because I could reverse out of the 'air and water' bay.

I had a great run out on New Years Eve (which I suppose doesnt quaify for this thread, however...)and it was fun. Roof off and it was VV Cold... called in for a coffee with Tim and to thaw (thanks Tim wink ) caught and followed a Cerbie on the A69 on the way home, nice wave (feels good to be part of the bigger TVR family as well...smile )

Now Andrew - a suggestion for a Sprint article might be how to stop your eyeballs freezing in such weather... is there an anti-eye-freeze ? or a scraper (ouch!) perhaps hehe

K wink

Keep them shut. Warmer and less scary too.

Maybe that'll work for my missus. She refuses to get in the TVR currently. hehe

It's not my driving honest, she's happy to let me hoon around like an idiot in the Focus...

Just collected Gerald from Adrian Venn Exactly TVR so had the first outing of 2009 and was it Bcensoredd cold

Roof panel frozen in place had to break them free and came back with just the rear window in place but was glad to get home. Had new seals and locking ring for sender unit, new seat cushion fitted, rack re-built with two new U/J's, bulkhead bearing and track rod ends, radiator leak repaired, new fuel hose from tank to pump (more to follow on this later). Steering is definatly lighter, as ever Adrian@ has done a good job
