Are you guys all at work at the moment? This site can have some serious humour and gets a little addictive!! Congratulations to the site owner, but my only worry is that my employees might notice my lack of checking on happenings in the warehouse and front area, perhaps sparking a little laziness??

Shit, I should get back to work!!

I'm supposed to be working too. This is on in the background of my desktop all day. Every now and then the temptation becomes too much and I have to rip the piss out of Chassis.

My top tip for those who browse Pistonheads at work:

Leave something high brow running in backgound - accounts software, spreadsheets etc. - and keep two digits within striking distance of the ALT & TAB keys! (Particularly if you have a doors open type office set-up).

At present I am dial up, and I keep saying to myself "enough now, log off and get to work." Ten minutes later I too can't resist to take the piss. I am listing up for DSL now because of PH and chassis and his threads!

Luckily, my job means that I have to keep up with what's going on in the automotive industry. So Ted and his trusty band of scumbag journos (tm) keep me informed.

Well, when he's not eating pies or sleeping that is

I an advertising copywriter, so I kind of relax while sneaking at PH!

But as some people here, word is always minimized so it can enter in action if the boss decides to show up!

It feels great!

My coleagues say I must be crazy to be always looking at car sites. And I guess I must be...

Hmm Ted what we need is a banner app like the bbc one that runs the headlines continuously across the top of your screen in a discrete fashion.

You can be hacking away at code / documents etc and still read the gassing station one line at a time (without others thinking you are a slackarse..)

Mel,

I must say that with 760+ post on your profile you have been busy !!
Still I can relate to what you say - not the being the boss bit though, but today I am pleased because I have done loads of work (in at 7:00 this morning) and managed to keep up with the station and even to post a bit. Basically, I know that I cannot ignore that it's there waiting for me, so I have planned a few 10 minutes slots. It's better than a tea break andn they don't Pies around here.

'See' you all 2morrow

They're not the only one's ... I'm out of work too , and spread the time between trawling round agencies, searching on the web, and this place...

The lack of jobs out there mean I spend far more time than I really should here.
