While fitting my car with dry sump system I've found out that the Mocal oil coolers and thermostats have passages that are the same id as -12 AN fittings. I've also found out that the correct routing for the system will place the filter immediately after the oil pump and thereafter the thermostat and cooler before returning the oil to the motor.

ken; just a thought, car oil coolers are primarily used for race cars and therefore they are designed without a thermostat. avaition coolers have the thrermostat integrated into the cooler. My Point is you should not ever run a street car without a oil thermostat which you have already indicated you intent to use BUT why not use an avaition style cooler and then you only need to run two lines to the cooler, supply and return. The more lines and fittings you have the more chances for leaks and you only have so much room in the engine compartment. Happy New Years, lee

Ken: Yes I agree about the need for the Tstat and that you already ndicated that you were going to use one. My point is about the advatage of using a aviation cooler because of thier internal Tstats. Just a thought but maybe a person could aquire the head tank for a aviation cooler with its internal by -pass and have a new core attached to it? Lee
