OK, when i first got my 5ltr chimaera about 6 weeks ago i was VERY tentative and respectfull of it's power.... 6 weeks down the line, and i can't believe i'm saying this... it feels slow AND quiet
Don't get me wrong, i LOVE the car, and yes, it is running perfectly (touches wood), but it already seems s l o w
When i get into my company car it feels like i'm driving a 1ltr 55bhp car again.... although when i look down (at speedo) i'm not hanging around.
Maybe i'm just spoilt being able to do 160Mph+ whenever i want to (good old german autobahns)
Does anyone else know a cure for this??? Sorry, but due to german law the standard chim exhaust is illegal, so no sports exhaust , doesn't rule out a bit more power though

What am i to do???

Jeff

theres a twin turbo griff for sale in the back of sprint.....
alternativly drive a 1 ltr car for a month between TVR 'hits' that should keep the TVR in perspective.

steady on man.... tell you what... if you're ever in germany, i'll let ya have a spin (all done in the Tiv spirit of sharing)

still hate me?

ref that twin turbo matt, judging by the amount of times it's changed hands, i'd rather not.

maybe i should limit myself to weekend driving
maybe not... just too much fun (even if i'm used to it)

TRACK DAY!!!! oh

Dont drive it for a week or so, that sorts it right out.

I used to think this, then drove a Mini for a week or so and back in the Tiv and 'HELLO BABY!'

Upgrade it with a hot cam (P404) and ACT carbon plenum; also, take out the pre-cats, this does improve the sound of the engine and book a rolling road session with M Adams or order a chip from him. I have the same kit and must say that everytime I drive the car (which is quite often) I'm surprised by its power.

German law applies to cars registered in Germany, but if the car is on a UK plate, the StVZO cannot require you to change the UK-legal exhaust everytime you pass the border
new plates?

Make an appointment with V8 Developments to put in all the hardware and have them arrange an RR session with Mark at their premises. 2-3 days should do it.

Well, I might have dropped to just disliking you.

Thanks for the invite and I hope to take you up on it.
