What with Pistonheads being 10 years old, wouldn't it be great to have a history of how it got started. I attended the first "S" club meet at Virginia Waters, must be 8 years ago, when Dave had his "S" the car I assume started the whole thing off? Was this the first ever meet? Would love to know the history of how it got going. Anyone else remember that meet?

I met Dave at Oulton Park in I think 96 when he was handing out his first batch of stickers. (will stand to be corrected, could be a senior moment)

If it was '96 with stickers that may make PH 12yrs old . . . hehe , although Ted may have distributing stickers that early, but I don't think he was . . .

I organised the 'S' meet and now I feel soooo old cry

Remember you well Johno, we sat with you for a nice lunch, seem to remember you did something for a brewery? So do we think this was the first ever meet?

I've had a look through that thread, out of curiousty and its good to see there are still a few names from it around and also that humour/joking has been about from the early days too....

In a blatant piece of commercialism spin I have just got a new box of Pistonheads polo shirts, baseball caps, jackets and now fleeces (essential gear for roof off motoring in the freezing weather). Discounts for cash on Sunday biggrin

There were "meets" before PH got going, at Tuscan Races back in the 90's (how werid does that look...back in the 90's..!):

Ted, Slappy, MonkeyBoy, Finian (Oilypages), Roop, Pikey, GREG, Justine (with an E), myself, BendyWendy, Throbber, RevLimiter etc etc

so I think they could be classed as the orginal PH meets.

Before I got a digital camera so no pics on the pc.

Don's Basingstoke Pie & Pints were fairly early meets - the first ones being in 2002.

I think the first Virginia Waters meet was 2002 as well, wasn't it?
