Sealing the Exhaust

Have managed to get the exhaust fitted, but hit the expected problem of not getting it to seal properly at any

But you need to apply it and assemble within 2 or 3 minutes and any movement after 5 or so minutes is likely to reduce the likelihood of a good seal. I had to disassemble and re-assemble mine 3 times before I got a seal last time, but mine is a custom exhaust and is more complex than the standard setup (more joints and at funny and b

I agree and if I remember correctly you need to run the engine/exhaust system up to temp soon after fitting to get it to seal/set.I also found the clamps around the exhaust at the manifold joint tended to distort the diameter a bit (ie crush it)try and get these distortions to line up again if they are evident, the outer pipe will tend to bend back in again easier at this point.Mark
Hope that makes sense.
