It's a TVR S3 - 1991 in mica blue, and it's lurvely!!!

After Podie let me loose on his S, I decided that was it, I had to have one and I've found a gorgeous S3 that's beautiful to drive and sounds great (sports exhaust). Went and saw it today - first one I've seen and I know you shouldn't be impulsive but it's in fantastic nick....

Thanks to Podie for opening my eyes to such an affordable, fun TVR and thanks also to Pies as I went armed with your very comprehensive checklist from your website and it was extremely useful.

The only thing to cover off is an official inspection and if there are no reported nasties, I should have it in time for the next mid-essex meet. If there is anyone around the essex area that you could recommend, I would be most grateful.

See you soon in my new wagon (hopefully)!!!!!!!!

Show him a bit of leg and I'm sure he'll take you out for a spin!

Seriously though - thanks to Podie and Pies for helping Mel out - she's over the moon about this, and although the interior needs a bit of TLC to bring it up to the same condition as the bodywork, it does look like a cracking car.

Great first choice Slamm, and as you say you won't have to re-mortgage your house to pay the bills. Nice one.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll try and get it before then, so I can bring it with me. Means Ed and I will be driving separately to Santa Pod the day before, but I guess we gonna have to get used to that from now on.....

Thanks to everyone for your words of encouragement... Might even take the S3 round the Caterham course.

Edited to say - Oops - this is Mel writing this actually, after Ed signed on! We've been celebrating my new purchase, so I'm a bit

Shush! Don't want to get a reputation!

Anyway... my mobile rang this afternoon.. couldn't get to it... putting up a light fitting so listened to the message... "hello Podie, this is Mel, you're in big trouble..." ".. you're responsible for me buying an S!"

Impressive, managed to get someone else's girlfriend to spend a fortune...

Seriously though Mel, hope your purchase brings you as many smiles as my S has...!

Is that the one in Sprint, advertised as in Essex?

Looks v. nice if it is - was hoping to get my best man to look at it though

Look forward to seeing it at Mid-Essex, and congrats!

Congrats Mel....great news....

Although this lot will be hung over after BT&P, I will be returning to Essex to host the Mid Essex Meet and I think Diane & Dave are travelling back too.

Can't wait to see it.

As regards someone to look it over......try CDL Racing in Grays......can't get a more experienced team than that and they are not going to Aussie land now so have an extra team on hand with some time.

Tell Bert that you're from Mid Essex.

Congrats again.....
