During the winter I want to remove the radiator and clean up the chassis right at the front of the car, now to do this properly I think I should remove the bonnet first. The alignment currently is ok and I don't want to mess with that. Am I right in thinking that all I do is to remove the two bolts each side that go through the bonnet itself so that the adjustment bolts are not touched in any way ?
also how easy is it to re-attatch the bonnet when work is complete ? I have searched everywhere to see if this is itemised at all but to no avail.
Cheers.....Tony..

It's easiest if you lift the front of the car about two inches (either by jacking it, or driving onto planks). This lets the bonnet open further so it is closer to its balance point which makes it easier to hold in place. With the V8S bonnet about two inches gets the bonnet to the point that it will actually sit balanced on the bumper and the bottom edge. If you're doing this it's best to remove the indicator lenses before you start to make sure you don't damage them. Also have something paint-friendly for the bonnet to sit on - a bit of carpet is ideal.

If you have wheel arch liners fitted, remove them. This makes access to the bolts easier.

If you still have the original wiring and connectors then assume they will all fall apart and stop working when you unplug them. It's a good time to replace them with weather proof connectors if you are ever planning to do that.

You will leave the various adjusters along and just remove the two big bolts that go sideways through the bonnet and into the chassis. These should have locknuts that determine how far in they go and these set the sideways position of the bonnet. So make a note of where the locks nuts are so you can put them back in the same position.

Before you start make sure you know what you're going to do with the bonnet. It's quite heavy and you don't really want to leave it balancing while you decide what to do with it.
