M-Series tyre size?
Discussion
Hi,
I'm enquiring on behalf of my dad, who needs to find some new tyres for his 1600M.
It's currently running on Avon 165 SR 15s, but apparently these are no longer available. Can anyone suggest a good alternative?
This car has run skinny 15" tyres from new and he's keen to maintain the authenticity, while getting a progressive, reasonably long-lived road tyre. Apparently enquiries with the local tyre suppliers have drawn a blank, but I suspect PH may be more fruitful.
I have also explained he'd do well to get himself signed up on here!

185/65/15 yokohamas are a nice compromise on the 6j 15 rim. rolling radius not much smaller and the 185 is a better fit that the 195 width for less roll around the rim during cornering.I'm enquiring on behalf of my dad, who needs to find some new tyres for his 1600M.

There are a few alternatives in this size, (I believe the size spec is now 165 x 80 15). There are a few makes around if you are looking for originality. Check these guys :-
