They sorted out my imobilisor/fuel pump issues the other week....collected the car from my house, fixed it keeping me informed all the way through... first class service and very resonably priced, I'll be using them again smile

Over the years i have brought 3 cars of them, one brand new and i can only say they are first class.
The servicing is a bit expensive hehehehe though but i would not use anybody else.

I discussed this with Martin on Tuesday. My car was in there for a 12k service which took 8 hours. Their hourly rate for a Griff or Chim is only £75- compared to £130ph for Renault or Pergeot main dealers. Martin's frank, non-patronising attitude is quite refreshing.

Been going there since late 70's and several changes of management. But they have always been the best for service in the south IMHO. The three M's in residence now continue the tradition and are really customer focused.

+1 to all the good stuff above wink

Recently sorted out some engine problems for me, even sent out their mechanic to me at the roadside 15-20 miles away!

Great service.

Big up from me for the Barnet team.I have had two cars from them which they looked after for me and they always go the extra mile.Martin loaned me his own car once when no loaner was available. Giles still needs new calculater for the invoice though-I can't beleive everything costs £10,000

While we are on the subject, brought my S/H Griff from them in Oct. No pushy salesmen, very obliging and opened up especially for me on two Sundays, now THAT is what I call service! Saw what I liked, deal done, Picked up the car, got as far as Reading, unfortunately boiled over twice, car piggy back to Barnet. New rad, otter switch and starter motor fitted free of charge and with out question followed by delivery to my door in Wiltshire with in three days. Excellent! A garage that really deserves to succeed. Well done chaps!

Over 12 or so years I've been driving TVRs bought from Barnet and I've pretty much always gone there to have my cars serviced/looked after. All my cars end up doing mega mileage without the major disasters so many seem to have.

Could be coincidence. . . . . .

So undoubtedly Martin and Phil who run the service dept are stars but however good they might be they would be worth nothing without the talented mechanics (or technicians) who wield the tools and solve the issues we get with our cars.

As a frequent 'window shopper'for many years, I always found the patience, enthusiasm and openess of all the staff I met to be first class.

Now as a happy Cerb owner for a year now, the support, service and friendliness of everyone just gets better and better.

The mugs of tea, slices of Pizza, friendly p**s-taking and 'life' stories are always offered with no wish for anything in return and when help is required (as I have needed only today), the guys will do whatever is possible and then go that little step further.

I have nothing but praise and appreciation to ALL the team. During these increasingly difficult economic times, one hopes that companies like The TVR (Trimar!) Centre keep going and succeed. They deserve to.

Phil and the three "M's"....I'll be down tomorrow to collect the Cerb and my Commission cheque...! Only joking!

Everything he said ^^^^^^^^ except the bit about the commission bung!! biggrin

Living literally 6 minutes away they were my first place to visit when I decided to leap into TVR world. It was during the transition between the previous ownership and the three M's taking the reigns. Stock levels of Chimaeras were low but enthusiasm, friendliness and 'welcome' was up there with the best of them.

They showed me a 500 which didn't quite tick all the boxes and very soon after I found a 450 privately through a PH classified. The owner conveniently lived about 20 minutes away and Martin offered to inspect the car for this new and somewhat apprehensive buyer! They gave it a thoruogh (I hope!) going over and despite obviously risking losing me as a customer, confirmed that the car was fine, had nothing of obvious concern and that I should buy it if I liked it.

Armed with their minor 'snag' list I went ahead and bought it and now, nearly 2 years later it has been faultless.

I popped back a few times for a chat and update on their stock, and as has been said here, was ALWAYS met with a friendly greeting and offer of coffee. Tip top service for me and I wish them all the best in the somewhat more challenging times ahead.

Nick.

I have always used them and found them friendly and helpful, just as important is the fact that they do an excellent job. Would highly recommend.

Agree with all of the above.

I myself along with all you guys depend hugely on a garage/Indie etc that you can trust your car to!

Some dealers see your car as... just another TVR, or worse, just another car, but to us the customer they are our P & J's!
I get twitchy if someone even stands too close to my TVR, least of all if they have to drive it.

Top guys though, can only recommend. In fact i will be booking my SEAC in at some point soon as my pop up lights seem to have developed a life of their own at mo. rolleyes

Roll on spring!!

I hope all is well Martin - given the rubbish economy right now.

Big thumbup from me if you're after good servive & quality workman ship. Trust me, been there, got the t-shirt re: rubbish indies! thumbup
