Some of you may sympathise with this situation: baby coming in September so have to sell sports car before then.

I can't afford to splash out on something too fancy but I don't think I can live without a soft top!

Any advice on what I should get for under £10k ?

stating the obvious, but saab or bmw are probably the way to go. There should be soft tops around for under 10k out there.

Drove an mx5 (faster version) a while ago. It won't strip tarmac off the road but it's a good laugh getting it's arse out round corners! The low slung stance will put a larger smile on your face than the bloated rag top family cars.

Richard.

Have you considered:

1) Keeping the sports car and
2) Buying a Volvo Estate

Or do you have to have just the one car..? If so it'll be the BMW or Saab then....

Can only have the one car I'm afraid--wife has an audi a3 which will have to go back to the company so we have to be a one car family...
