Maybe old news to some but just read that the original test mule used to develop the new Mercedes SLR was a TVR Cerbera bought by McLaren from Martin Brundle. Just goes to show that TVR are doing somethings right despite what the doubters say !!

There was a photo of it a few years ago in Autocar. Text said M_B were using it was the space frame allowed mods to be tried easier than a monocoque.

Brundle's was a TVR dealer, not sure how involved Martin was/is.
