I normally use Lightroom to do most of my basic adjustments, and then use Paint Shop Pro X2 to do a final bit of firtling - sharpening, borders, and so on - by getting lightroom to create a TIFF (8-bit, AdobeRGB). Up till recently, this has worked fine, but just lately I've noticed that the tiff after processing has looked washed out with the reds especially suffering. I've tracked this down to PSP losing the colour profile information when I save the file. I've verified that the file produced from Lightroom has profile information in it, but that it's gone after I do a save. Interestingly, if I "Save As..." and overwrite the original file, then the profile is still there.

I don't know what I've done to cause this to happen; the only thing I can think of is that I turned off the "save a copy of the original" function, since I don't need it. Does anyone else out there use PSP, and have you come across this problem? And please don't say "get photoshop": a) I can't justify the price and b) I'm used to PSP. I do have Elements, but I don't particularly like it.

Check lightroom is set to export in sRGB by going into Edit, Preferences, External Editing tab, and changing the color space on both options. Then check psp, there should be a similar option somewhere, don't use it myself, preferences maybe? Use google for adjusting the profile in psp?

Do you mean "do a save" in PSP? and that a "save as" does not break things colour wise?

Apart from checking PSP is also working in aRGB (file > colour management > colour space) I can't suggest anything, except maybe set the colour space for an image to sRGB then back to aRGB then "do a save", this may trip a default setting back to how you want it.

I can't be more specific since I use an older version of PSP.

"Do a save" as in "hit ctrl-S", yes.
Yep, PSP's colour space is correct - as I said, this seemed to be working fine till recently. Mind you, I checked out PSP X and it does the same thing - I think that there may be a hidden default somewhere - on the save as... dialog, you get an option for including the profile - it looks as if this may be off by default. Investigate further and then shout at Corel seems to be the best route from here.
