Xmas pc shooter ?

Got loads of time off over Xmas and want a new shooter. Whats the verdict ?

Pc is reasonable spec but may need a newer graphics card...

P4/3.00 gig/1.5gig ram/X550 RADEON

Really enjoyed the Syphon filter stuff on PS.

Got orange box.

Toyed with UT3 but not played any version.

Nothing really seems to grab me at the mo, hence the thread.

If you haven't played it laready Call Of Duty 4. Not sure how well it scales on lesser graphics cards but a great game and should be cheap as its a year old. Played FEAR? Worth a punt for next to nothing.

COD4? Cheap for the PC maybe - but it's still £40 for consoles...
Fear is an amazing PC shooter, as is the first expansion. Works well on stty graphics cards, too. My 3 year old laptop handled it perfectly.

Loved Fear, one of my faves. About time for a new chapter surely.

Cod- Im not sure, not a huge fan of war games. Enjoyed MOH on ps1 years ago though.

What Id really like is something like the old Syphon Filter, shooting, sniping, creeping about, shooting some more.

fallout 3 has lots of shooting, creeping around, might be something different
