Are Chimeras - anyone had them on a wear bridge.

Alot more than the 1070kg that TVR say that is for sure.

Left lights on all day yesterday, on the 4th floor of work multistorey car park. Bloody near impossible to push - (had to put roof to get in), EVEN DOWNHILL.

1200kg I guess. Rac man plugge in slave bat - off and running first turn - should have a bleep that tells you you have left the lights on!

Not sure about the weight thing, never have to much of a problem pushing mine out the garage though.
But regarding the lights on thing, you could try this
www.elises.co.uk/diy/buzzer/
or even easier just bid on this

Selling this weekend - did have a full tank of fuel and I am used to pushing a 814 kg and 1010kg race car and it is ALOT heavier than the 1010 one - needs all that power - love it though............

How hard it is to move this car is a function of friction not weight. Weight is a factor along with many others factors. Also getting a car to move from stationary requires you to overcome static friction and to accelerate the car. You would normally also need to raise the car because the tyres will have flattened. When you push the car there's usually a degree of upward or downward energy from your arms that only lifts or lowers the back of the car and doesn’t contribute to forward motion. Probably a good idea to take the handbrake off as well.

Trying to push Griffs is pretty difficult. However I often roll my Griff out of the garage using the wheel spokes as a lever. Much easier although it makes your hands dirty.

I can push the Griffith out of the garage quite easily, yes it is on the flat, so it can't be that heavy?

Then again we all know what TVR are like with their claims on bhp so god only knows what the actual weight is!!!

All that matters though is it goes faster than Rik Waller on a toboggan!!!

I think even a super-duper, turbo charged, jet- engined, 200 litre V128, million bhp TVR couldn't catch Mr Waller once gravity was in charge

I can easily push my cerb on the flat. Even with the handbrake on (not really - but the handbrakes arent exactly effective). The only time I have had problems are when the car is left with the handbrake on when I parked it and the discs and pads have binded a little.

Sorry to ps on the parade, but the force exerted by gravity is proportional to the mass it is acting on. The result is that barring the minimal effects of friction Rik Waller would travel no faster than anyone else on s toboggan.

In fact he'd probably be slower due to the braking effects of all the flab dragging on the ground .

I've had my cerb on the scales, it comes in at 1100kg. And that was before I had nitrons on and threw away the rear ARB (so it is probably 1099 now).

It's as much a case of having to push something at below waist level as much as weight. Will just have to fill the tyres with helium

I don't push my Griff out of the garage any more. Tried it once and it was fine until the back wheels got onto the (very slight) slope outside - then I could only watch helpless as it rolled unstoppably back at 2mph into my other car

Ah, back in the days when they were lighter (pre lightweight AFAIK - how odd). Have seen figures for the newer cars being a little heavier too.

A couple of years ago EVO took a Cerb out head to head with some Brabus Merc. The Cerb pulled away through the gears but not by as much as they'd have liked.. they weight this 1100kg cerb to fathom why. Was 1275kg (as I recall)
