DVD player, what a noise........

Bought a Samsung yesterday and what a noise from the fan, taking it back to Comet today any ideas for a quiet DVD player circa £200-250

Go blu-ray, even if you can't use it now, you may use it in the future.

Blu-ray is high definition. Very high quality pictures when you buy or rent blu-ray versions of movies.

They will also play normal DVD's and make them look better.

They will also play normal DVD's and make them look better.

Do you have a Richer Sounds? If so pop along and chat with those guys, steer clear of Comet etc.

Upscaling the original resolution of a dvd if your telly is HD. Quite a few (most?) normal DVD players have this function too now.

Or was that a trick question? I am by no means any kind of A/V expert!
