Croatia at New Years

Having grown sick of spending New Years at home, I'm looking to go away on a shortish euro break over New years.
Has anyone been to Croatia over New Years, especially Split?
My requirements are:
Plenty to see and do (sights, history, that kind of stuff)
Decent nightlife
Good looking women
Am I likely to be bored/dissapointed?
Any other suggestions for a cheapish New Years that meets the above are very welcome.

Split is a nice place to go - great old city which has been restored quite sympathetically, plenty of bars, clubs & restos and being a large-ish city, ought to have plenty going on on New Year's eve. We were there in May for their Patron Saint festival and teh palce was pretty lively. All in all I reckon it would be a cool alternative to the usual grimness back home!
I remember going to an upstairs bar with balconies overlooking the port which had a DJ, and lots of sofas etc which did some great cocktails. Might be a good place to start your evening if you can find it!
ANother suggestion would be to get teh ferry across to Hvar island which has a great harbour, and again some cool places to eat & drink. Might be a bit quiet in the winter tho...

Is Croatia cheap - I think that the Kuna is about 8 to 1 at the moment. No idea what that buys you? (ie beers/food).

The women are very nice, I was with my OH and got caught perving many a time if that helps?

We were getting 2 bottles of beer for around 20-25 kunas, and I was averaging the kuna:euro at 7:1 then so it was very cheap for what I am used to. Not sure about food prices as I was on a cruise(hence only being there one day) so went back to the ship for dinner, but I would say the food is similar low prices.
