Hi all, have started playing Forza again recently after a hiatus. Found my old porsche in my garage, took it for a ride and fell in love with it all over again -

Don't let the looks decieve you - running a stock 959 engine through a platform that took 2 days of fiddling about with to get the handling perfect. Sublime isnt the right word!

Does anyone else have one car that they love more than any other? Or is it just me?

I have a Class B NSX and a class A (I think) Esprit V8 that I've got *just* right.

I love the A class Sparco Evo. In Forza one that was the car I would drive whatever, it would take on much superior cars. Its still pretty damn good in Forza 2. Now if only I could be bothered to do all this tweaking nonsense...

My class A E36 is pretty handy too biggrin

What's more of a shame is that they don't have the M Coupe in the game frown

My tuned Elise 135R... took ages setting it up and at one point (before the dreaded scoreboard wipe) the car was 45th in the world around Maple valley long, 40th in the world around maple valley short & something like 37th around maple vally short reverse (I have screenshots somewhere on my home PC).

Love that car as I built it for the short tracks but it just seems to work most places, even at tracks with long straights it's so bleeding quick and adjustable in the corners it's lack of overall top speed on the straights just doesn't matter.

I dust it out occationally in PH multiplayer races and it's prety fast indeed smile

At the moment I like this. Has more power than grip, but the handling is driftsatic - proper old-school cool! Great for a B Class blat round the ring.

I have a certain fascination with MK II Golf GTi's, I reckon I have about five of 'em at the moment, in various states of tune.

All out favorite, "just go for a blat" car is this BMW M3

B700, loads of grip, not a huge amount of power, just great fun to hustle along the twisties!

I love my U999 TVR Sagaris. Only 600bhp (it could be more) grippy tyres and lots of wings. It is perfect. IF only there where some proper races for U class cars.

Then down in the B700 I've got an Impreza that isn't quite honed in yet. But the paint job is finished. It now looks like this

How much time do you guys spend on your decals?!
The cars look perfect but it must take an age to do!

Congratulations on your patience, all of you, I could never be bothered.

I'll post a pic of mine later tonight when I get home, it isn't perfect, but it is recogniseable as that car. I've chosen easy ones to do. I've got an EVO which looks like the BRC cars and my M3 is an RAC BTCC look-a-like. None of my designs are complicated to do. There are lots of others on the original Forza photos thread that I would never be able to do due to lack of tallent and time.

You should play around with the setups, can make a nice difference especially when in the lower classes and you are trying to squeeze the most out of the car as possible.

Biggest areas for me to tweak are downforce (I like my cars set up for corning mainly), diff ratio (can mess about with gear ratio's but the diff is the easy option) and camber/castor (cars can be made to turn in much better)

ETA: To keep this on topic, i will post up my 'car of choice' when I get home biggrin

How do you swap the engines? Like your porsche and the 959 engine?

Certain cars have the option of a drivetrain swap in the upgrades section.
