That was the same conclusion i came too as well.

But played 4 times to work it out.

i cheated and opened the same page in two different explorers, so make you move on one page then copy what you've just done with his move on the next page.

beat it, no cheating...

you want to get it so you have a "cube" of four left, and it be his go. he always takes one. so you then take two to win.

OK for those stuck try this:

on your first go take TWO from the top line.

he will likely then take ONE from another line. it doesnt matter which one.

you take THREE from the bottom line. He will take another ONE, probably from the middle, but it doesnt matter if he does something else.

you should now have TWO pearls on each of the two lower lines, and one on the top line.

take the one on the top. there are now four left, two on the middle row, two on the bottom and its his go.

whatever he does, you win - if he takes two, you take one to win. if he takes one, you take two to win. ta-da!
