I am off skiing early on Saturday morning with my DSLR, what tips do you guys have for taking photos of the landscapes, action shots and also looking after my camera in those conditions.

Thanks

Keep the battery somewhere warm and put it in the camera when needed. Cold batteries die very quickly!

Tip 1. Don't do an end over end wipeout if you've a DSLR on you (from bitter experience!)
Tip 2. Take a good quality compact that you can easily adjust the EV values on.

IMO.
