Next year brings the chance of changing cars. Ive been thinking of completely changing tack, not only with manufacturer (C Class or 3 Series) and have even been considering a change of fuel type (C320cdi or 335d), but Im still not overly convinced with diesels (not a huge mile muncher, maybe 12-15k pa)
Had to log on to Audi's website to get an answer for a competiton
and started browsing. Speccing up a 3.0tdi A4 for a laugh. Then foolishly clicked on the info/picture pages for the new S4.
Me likey
A standard one comes out not much more than the specced up A4 diesel, and just about hits the spot for me. More aggressive than an S Line but not as 'showy' as the RS4.
Now, I swore Id never buy another brand new car unless I hit the lottery win, and Im in no hurry to change, so would probably wait for an ex-demo car to come along (unless the credit cruch is biting Audi as bad as they say, like the chap on PH buying a new C63AMG @ 17% discount recently).
When is the S4 hitting our shores? All pie in the sky at the moment, but I need something to warm me cockles in the depth of winter

No further information I'm afraid, but I too am mightily tempted by this new machine. Seems more of a 335i rival than a competitor for the M3, which suits me just fine due to running costs, understatement etc. Trying to make swift progress on the icy roads recently in my rwd car has highlighted the Quattro appeal!
Seems to be picking up good reviews too, e.g.:

I'll probably bag a test drive when they arrive so I'll post back when I do.

Lovely car & very competitively priced too.
We have a forum for it here: http://audisrs.com/forum15.php with lots of info & reviews.
The Audi UK order book is open now, deliveries commencing in April I believe.
