This is all well and good, but isn't it just an online Poundstretcher? The site's a wee bit pikey too, but I guess that's in keeping with the tone of things.

Horsefeathers - I've just secured the delivery of a 150g packet of Burton's Toffypops for the absolute bargain price of..er...£6.05.

I have never met Burton, nor do I have any idea what a Toffypop is (unless that I now understand that it appears to be about £6.05 per 150g)

Ah, you have it all wrong. Buy 50 packs and delivery remains the same. What you would do with 50 packs - other than eat it for a long time - I don`t know but nevertheless it looks better value.

I shop in waitrose sometimes, only supermarket in my town. I dont think I have EVER paid 4 times the price of other places.

We shop in Waitrose all the time... the reasons why:

The food is NOT 4 times the price, no-where near in fact.

Our local Tesco's is absolutely shocking at the weekend. People are queuing to get in the car park and just going to do a weekly shop will take a good 2/3 hours.

Waitrose you can be in an out in 30 minutes max with no kids running about.

The fresh food in Waitrose looks far more appetising.

The offers in Tesco's are not good. Buy 2 get 3rd free. Well that’s brilliant I only wanted one and now you've got me paying twice what I wanted to pay for an extra two that will sit in the cupboard/ freezer or just go off.

If you go down the Tesco's route then you buy so many "bargains" that you get to about Thursday and think right I have some chicken, some washing powder and a bottle of coke despite having spent enough for a weeks worth of food. So you say sod it, we’ll get a take away.

Well that’s my thoughts anyway.

Why would you buy a load of stuff, its not as if you can stockpile it for the future as by the site's own admission the stock is almost of of date already!!

Well I found a sachet of pasta sauce which was a complete steal at 20p, though I assume that 20 is also the amount of minutes left on the use by date. After I'd added delivery to the Isle of Wight it was slightly less appealing at £10.70. . . . . . .
