My brother's Land Rover Defender was taken from his drive in Solihull between 7 and 8 this evening. It's his pride and joy, and has had a lot of modifications to it in the past few years. He is absolutely gutted. He loves it so much he'd rather they'd have taken his Boxster S instead.

Description

Type: Defender 90 soft top - black hood
Reg: N311 PRY
Colour: Green
Other:

Raised suspension
Silver alloys (I think they're called "boost" alloys)
BFG MTs
Tubular front bumper with winch
4 opposing seats in the rear (2 and 2)
Grey carpet in rear

I'll get hold of a pic and post that up soon.

If you see this car, please contact me through PH, either on this thread or through the emaiil link in my profile. I pick up my mail and scan PH very regularly.

EDITED with pic.

Thanks for all the bumps people. I will upload a pic tomorrow. I have connection issues to my server where all my pics are at the mo.

I went out looking for it today. Slim-to-no chance of finding it but I thought I'd have a look around Earlswood as it's "Land Rover country". Looked in fields and behind hedges. As predicted though... nothing.

My brother is quite gutted and depressed today. I know it's only a car but he really got attached to it and invested a lot of time in it. frown

My old hunting ground, I'll send some messages out later for known LR fans to keep an eye out biggrin

Not surprised, it is heart wrenching for him!

I really ought to get a Facebook account. smile

That's my house, wife and little boy in the driving seat. Must have been taken last year because I still had the dreadful Toyota Avensis then [shudder].

There are two ghosts I think I'd prefer remained buried. Possibly three. I think I'll remain discreet. One day I'll tell you what Greg did to one of his mates who didn't have a Faacebook account. In the meantime I suspect Ian has enough incriminating evidence on his FB account. shoot

None of the 'people' I know of in the area that are into LRs have heard a thing, but are keeping their ears open.

Fab. Thanks. Greg hasn't been on-line yet tonight. I've just pinged him to "jump in", although I'm not sure he has a PH account (burn him).

I understand that Liveridge knows to look out for this car and we're posting a "stolen" report up on other sites too. Hopefully the thieving scum will have nowhere to go... although the world is a big place and a Landy easy to reduce to parts.
