Hi,

What' this SVA test.
Isn't MOT test good enough to explain your newly built car is road-run worthy?
Why bother with this SVA test?
Anyway, how much does this SVA test cost and how often do you have to get the test done?
What are the requirements and where can I get the requirements and do's and dont's so that I can build my own ferrari or any car model and pass the VSA test without failing and stripping the whole car from top to bottom to build it again according to this SVA standard.

Read It

www.dvla.gov.uk./vehicles/regrebil.htm

For SVA (Single Vehicle Approval) click on 'Import Section' near foot of page in section C. Yes, I know it isn't an import....

Also try the following link, kindly presented by JonDokic on a similar thread, which can be found under Kit Cars, F355 Kit Car. www.btinternet.com/~adefadero/kitcars.htm.

Also try www.kitcars.com, or something like that!!

Also, regarding the legal point, if you are considering it commercially then yes, if you supply on a grand enough scale you will be hunted down. But as a personal thing I dont think they would even find out. It would take someone (i.e. a friend of yours) to grass you up to Ferrari for having a replica and then, (most unlikely), for them to actually give a shit!!

most of the SVA stuff is common sense - gets a bit nitpicky over radiused surfaces, even when hidden under outer body panels.

How the hell do off-roaders get through the SVA?

Come to think about it, most "classic" cars would fail, so what's the point?!!
